Rigid gels are an essential part of your cold chain. If the isothermal container limits the exchange of heat between the outside and the inside of your isothermal container, the eutectic gel plays the role of a cold engine.
Like a refrigerator whose holding temperature can be adjusted, it is the choice of the type of eutectic liquid contained in your rigid gel that will determine the temperature restored by these eutectic gels.

Instructions of use
To restore their energy, rigid eutectic gels must be recharged at temperatures specific to their temperature range.
Designed for heat-sensitive healthcare products in the +15°C to +25°C temperature range, the blue liquid rigid eutectic gels can be used regardless of the season thanks to their heating and cooling modes.

Advantages
Thanks to their rigid shell, COLD & CO +20°S eutectic gels can be stored for refilling without worrying about their arrangement. Indeed, and contrary to the flexible eutectic gels which require to be stored flat to obtain a homogeneous shape during their freezing, the rigid eutectic gels do not undergo deformation during their change of state (solid / liquid). Therefore, if you need to use eutectic gels intensively and repeatedly to maintain the temperature of your heat-sensitive products, we advise you to use rigid gel blocks.
Robust
To withstand impact and compression over time, COLD & CO’s rigid eutectic gels are manufactured with an outer shell made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), a material that guarantees their strength. The corners are also reinforced for better durability.
Waterproofing
Depending on the type of eutectic liquid present inside our coolers, COLD & CO rigid gel has an ultrasonically closed cap or a sealed aluminum cap to ensure a complete seal.
Lifetime and Maintenance tips
Our rigid eutectic gels are reusable in an almost unlimited way. However, in order to guarantee such a long life, in spite of numerous cycles of refilling and use in your isothermal boxes, it is important to take care of the rigid eutectic gels ! We recommend these 5 specific actions for that:
1. Store your rigid eutectic gels in a clean and dry place,
2. Limit the fall of your rigid eutectic gels especially after freezing,
3. Do not expose your rigid eutectic gels to extreme temperatures above +50°C or below -45°C,
4. Do not pierce or cut your rigid eutectic gels with a blunt object,
5. Do not wash your rigid eutectic gels in the dishwasher.
