COLD & CO supports the cyclologistic

In the December 2024 edition of the newspaper Froid News, cyclologistic was highlighted by Anne-Lise Gandon, founder of Frais Chez Toi, which delivers fresh products to professionals every day. Urban logistics faces several challenges such as reducing CO2 and respecting the cold chain.

To meet these challenges, COLD & CO offers refrigeration products designed to adapt to the needs of cyclologistics, guaranteeing efficiency and durability.

What is cyclologistic ?

The cyclologistic is a delivery method using bicycles or pedal vehicles. It reduces the carbon footprint and urban congestion.

Anne-Lise Gandon, founder of Frais Chez Toi, explains in this article how her company has developed into a delivery service for cargo bikes in the Angers region.

After a career with Stef, she chose to specialize in cyclologistics.

The evolution of cyclologistics in France

Cyclologistics has grown significantly. As cities become more and more crowded, it has become an alternative for deliveries, bypassing traffic jams, reducing noise pollution and allowing faster access to city centres.

Low Emissions Zones (perimeters prohibiting traffic to the most polluting vehicles) have encouraged companies to find alternatives to conventional thermal vehicles. Cyclologistics offers an environmentally friendly solution.

Despite this development, the sector of cyclologistic needs to increase its development, many traders are reluctant with this mode of delivery. It is not known to everyone and the majority of actors are reluctant to use refrigerated containers for the transport of frozen products.

Frais Chez Toi delivers approximately 1.5 tonnes of fresh produce per day to bars and restaurants in the city centre of Angers, but also 500 kilos to Tours and 600 kilos to Nantes , thanks in part to the refrigerated containers of COLD & CO, notably the CarryTemp XL9.

These refrigeration solutions allow operators to equip themselves with efficient transport boxes, guaranteeing the quality of the products delivered while reducing their ecological footprint.
