Important : You can use these -26°C cold accumulators if your freezer can go down to -30°C. In case your freezer cannot go below -20°C, we recommend you to use -16°C eutectic plates.
Available in 4 sizes:
- 2 gastronorm formats GN1/1 and GN1/2: standard formats identical to the trays used by catering professionals,
- 2 narrower formats allowing to fit in a gastronorm format container.
Use
The eutectic plate is used in addition to our isothermal containers CarryTemp classic, CarryTemp XL and our professional boxes PPE Distrifresh.
It is used by producers and actors of the food distribution: logistician and cold expressist, caterers, restaurant owners and craftsmen of mouth, butcher, fishmonger, baker, pastry cook, creamer and cheese maker, etc.
The eutectic plate is also used in the health sector for heat-sensitive pharmaceutical products that need to be transported at a temperature below -18°C.
Instructions of use
The -26°C eutectic plates need to be charged beforehand by placing them in the -30°C freezer for a minimum of 24 hours. Depending on the total quantity of plates to be charged and the power of your freezer, a period of 48 hours -or more- may be necessary to fully recharge your eutectic plate.
To accelerate the recharging, think of arranging the plates in staggered rows or let the air circulate between the plates.

Tips
A plate is fully loaded when all the liquid in the brick has become solid. To check if the plate is frozen through, simply shake it. If you perceive a liquid or semi-liquid state, the plate is not fully charged.
Recommandation
We recommend a double or even triple set of plates to organize a rotation system between the plates handed over and those ready for use.
Constitution
The eutectic plates have a rigid outer shell made of high density polyethylene (HDPE) to resist impact, compression and puncture. These shells are filled with the -26°C eutectic liquid and then closed with a crimped cap.
Robust
The eutectic plates are robust with reinforced corners and anchor points.
Food contact
The eutectic plates are made of polyethylene, a non-toxic and environmentally friendly material.
The eutectic plates -26°C meet the NF EN 12546-3 standard “Materials and articles in contact with foodstuffs – Insulating containers for domestic use – Part 3: specification for thermal accumulators”.
Installation of the plates
We recommend using cold protection gloves to handle the frozen plates. For a better refrigeration of your isothermal container, we recommend to place the plate in the upper part of your container because the cold air goes down. If necessary, place the plates in priority on the large side faces and then finish with the small side faces.
